We're not the airport. We're the part travelers actually need help with: getting from the terminal to where they're staying, without a bad surprise attached.
MedellinAirport.co is an independent traveler resource covering José María Córdova International Airport (MDE) in Rionegro, Antioquia. We publish practical arrival information, and we're building a pre-booked private transfer service for people flying into Medellín.
We have no affiliation with José María Córdova International Airport, its operator Airplan, Aerocivil, or any Colombian government body. We don't use their logos, we don't republish their branding, and we don't claim their authority. Airport names and codes appear here for identification only.
We do: publish arrival information, quote fixed transfer prices, take bookings, assign trips to licensed transport partners, and support you in English and Spanish before, during, and after the ride.
We don't: own vehicles or employ drivers. Colombian regulation directs this category of passenger transport through authorized special-transport companies rather than individual drivers or vehicle owners, and we contract accordingly. Our partners supply the licensed drivers, the compliant vehicles, the insurance, and the operating authorization. We supply the customer, the booking, and the accountability.
It would be easy to publish a hundred pages of estimated fares and a booking button today. We're not doing that. Before we take a payment we're completing the Colombian operating structure, the tourism-registry requirements that apply to this kind of platform, and signed rate agreements with multiple licensed operators in Antioquia.
That means every route we eventually publish has a real negotiated price behind it, and every trip has more than one company able to fulfil it. It's slower. It's also the difference between a booking that gets honoured and a booking that doesn't.
When booking opens, you'll pay a fixed price for your transfer. Our licensed transport partner receives an agreed net rate, and we keep the difference for the service we provide: the site, the reservation, the coordination, and the support. We don't add surge pricing, and we don't hide fees at checkout — the price you're quoted is the price of the ride.
Some pages may eventually carry links to travel services from other companies. Where that's the case, we'll say so on the page.
MedellinAirport.co is one of four independent city sites covering Colombia's major arrival airports: MedellinAirport.co, BogotaAirport.co, CartagenaAirport.co, CaliAirport.co. Same standards, same operating model, local operators and local content in each city.
Questions, corrections, group arrivals, or partnership enquiries — the contact page is the fastest route. If you spot something on this site that's out of date or wrong, please tell us. We'd rather fix it than defend it.
